Build with Us
Sales Representative
Sell real-time monitoring into chemical distribution. Full-cycle, consultative, account-driven. Remote contract, with travel.
About Readybit
Readybit brings real-time monitoring to chemical distribution. We put sensors on industrial chemical tanks and turn what they see into monitoring, alerting, and analytics that distributors and their customers rely on to keep product flowing and avoid run-outs. It's a big, traditional industry that's modernizing fast, and we're growing with it. We're expanding our sales team to reach more of the distributors who need what we've built.
The role
We're hiring a sales representative to own deals end to end: find the right accounts, earn the first conversation, run the demo, and close. You'll sell a product that mixes hardware and software into an industry that buys carefully, so this is consultative selling, understanding a prospect's operation, showing them where they're losing time or product today, and making the value obvious.
You'll help shape how we sell as the team grows: the pitch, the objection handling, the way we qualify, the way we hand off to onboarding. What works, we write down and repeat.
What you'll do
- Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, demos, proposals, and close.
- Build and work a pipeline of distributors and industrial accounts, with disciplined follow-up.
- Run discovery that gets past surface interest to the real operational pain, then tie the product to it.
- Give product demos that land with both operators and the people who sign.
- Navigate a considered, multi-stakeholder buying process and keep deals moving.
- Work closely with the team on pricing, deal structure, and how we onboard new customers.
- Feed what you hear in the field back to the product and leadership team.
- Help shape the sales playbook as we figure out what repeatable looks like.
What we're looking for
Required
- A track record of closing in B2B sales, ideally a considered sale with multiple stakeholders.
- Account-driven selling experience: you build relationships across an account, manage it over time, and grow it.
- Comfort selling a technical or operational product to a non-technical buyer, and translating between the two.
- Genuine discovery skills: you ask good questions and actually listen before you pitch.
- Self-direction. You can build pipeline and run your week without someone handing you a list.
- Clear, credible communication, written and in person.
- Resilience and follow-through. You stay with a deal through a long, quiet middle.
- Willingness to travel to customers and industry events as needed.
Nice to have
- Existing knowledge of, and a network in, the chemical industry.
- Experience selling into chemical, industrial, distribution, logistics, or a related field-operations world.
- Experience selling IoT, hardware, or a hardware-plus-software product.
- Experience as an early sales hire, building a motion rather than inheriting one.
- Comfort with a modern sales stack (CRM, outreach tooling) and the judgment to keep it clean.
Why it's a good job
- Get in early. We're growing into a big, modernizing industry, and you'll help build the sales motion rather than inherit it. Direct impact, fast.
- Own the whole deal. Full-cycle selling, a direct line to the people building the product, and real influence on pricing, positioning, and what we build next.
- A product that solves a real problem. You'll demo something that saves customers the time and product they're losing today, into an industry actively looking to modernize.
- Build the playbook. What works, we write down and repeat, and you'll own a big part of shaping it.
- Fully remote, with travel. Work from wherever you're based, and get in front of customers where it matters.
If you're a closer who wants to own the whole deal and help build the motion, get in touch.
